Back last year we wrote about Luca Todesco (@qwertyoruiop) was working on an 8.4.1 and whilst a full blown one click jailbreak was never released a more hands on tool was out online for those willing to do a little work.

Last night Luca Todesco (@qwertyoruiop) tweeted proof that he had successfully jailbroken iOS 9.2.1 by posting a screenshot of Cydia running iOS 9.2.1 on his iPhone 6.

Along with the screen shot Todesco also tweeted I lied. All Hail 화격자 리더. No releases. A quick google translation showed the Koren to read Great Leader.

So it seems that there will not be a tool released any time soon and some and now referring him as i0n1c 2, however it is important to remember that these hackers are under no obligation to release any tool.

This new revelation is promising though as if one person can perform a jailbreak then a team should hopefully accomplish this.
